Boulder International Film Festival-Call for Entries Now Open!
Early Deadline June 13. Our big idea? Combine low entry fees with generous filmmaker hospitality, and open our festival to gifted film artists worldwide. This principle has made the Boulder International Film Festival (BIFF) one of the most influential young film festivals in the U.S., with an extraordinary number of new-but-unknown feature films, documentaries, and shorts that have gone on from early screenings at BIFF to significant box-office success and multiple Oscar nominations. Over 13,000 filmmakers, national media, special guests and film enthusiasts attended the four-day BIFF 2008.
Chris Gore, the legendary author of "The Ultimate Film Festival Survival Guide" and the founder of "Film Threat", says "Boulder as a vacation destination already puts BIFF on the map. And the staff's dedication to championing true indies, the amazing hospitality along with a classic theater (with a full bar that serves drinks during the screenings) make this a festival that should be on the top of every filmmaker's list." Acceptance of your film for BIFF 09, (February 12 - 15, 2009) places it in front of the huge, urban, film-hip audiences of the Boulder-Denver? metro area, and also in spirited competition for the numerous Jury Awards...together with the immeasurable credibility-boost from placing the words "WINNER, BOULDER INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL" on your film's jacket and resume. We strongly encourage you to accompany your film to our festival. Upon acceptance, we assign a filmmaker liaison to each filmmaker in the festival and house you at a luxurious hotel, just a few blocks from our main venue - the historic 850-seat Boulder Theater in downtown Boulder. There's great free food, great hospitality, a filmmaker bar, skiing 45 minutes from Boulder, and fantastic parties every night. All events, parties, films, and workshops are located within a 4-block radius of your hotel on the legendary Pearl Street Mall. Boulder is beautiful, fun and easy-to-get-to; and you'll have a great time at our forums and parties where you'll get a chance to rub egos with other accomplished filmmakers. BIFF has been proud to host and celebrate some of independent film’s most talented players, including writer/filmmaker Chris Gore ( The Ultimate Film Festival Survival Guide and founder of Film Threat) legendary Indie filmmakers Michael and Mark Polish “The Polish Brothers” (Twin Falls Idaho, Northfork, The Astronaut Farmer), Golden-Globe? nominated actress Maria Bello (A History of Violence, The Cooler, Thank You for Smoking), director Jon Poll (The 40-Year Old Virgin, Austin Powers, Charlie Bartlett) and renowned Hollywood screenwriter John August (Big Fish, Go, The Nines) along with many other independent filmmakers, directors, producers and stars including Academy-Award? nominee Eric Roberts, and Patrick Warburton Seinfeld). ABOUT BOULDER Located at the foot of the stunning Rocky Mountains, easy-going Boulder Colorado is a traditional magnet for the tech-savvy, music & arts-loving outdoors-person who also likes to party. Along with a major University film school, we have hundreds of miles of running, skiing and hiking trails, world-class restaurants, hotels, galleries, shops and bars, all surrounded by a scenic 46,000-acre moat of Boulder Open Space. Boulder is just 45 minutes from the Denver International Airport. Submit today, you’ll love it here. Go to www.biff1.com for more information

That's Unbelievable! Mockumentary DVD
This 60-minute slapstick comedy parodies such documentaries as That's Incredible, Ripley's Believe It Or Not, and Unsolved Mysteries. Deborah Daze hosts an anthology of bizarre and zany mysteries, tales of intrigue and suspense that distort the boundaries between fiction and fact. Our sultry, slinky blonde guides us into make-believe worlds, where reality is skewed, and questions are left unanswered. But one mystery she can't seem to solve is why her incompetent crew persists in making a mockery of her TV show with malfunctioning props, faulty set design, unexplained script changes, and flying cream pies! Starring bikini goddess / scream queen Ashlie Rhey. Trailer can be seen at You Tube.

So my reanimated corpse is pleased to present Matt McUsic's Shamelove, a gritty, violent movie. Download the entire video review with the Grazr link on the left, this link right here, or via your preferred podcatcher.
