Around the world, there are thousands of independent moviemakers who's work will never see distribution, by circumstance or by choice. Shooting on any format they desire, these no-budget moviemakers create their visions out of pure enjoyment, with no concern for monetary reward. They range from UK high school students working on a school project to Korean professional scriptwriters in need of a more personal creative outlet, and everywhere in between. If you've found this site, then maybe you too are one of us, perhaps on the start of something new. This site is here for your use, to contact others who share your hobby, to read about the issues and ideas out there, to enjoy the work of your comrades. Our no-budget news is updated every day, with frequent articles and weekly movies. In return for this service we only ask that you keep making your movies. You can send us your news, your reviews, even your entire works to be featured online, and for entry into the annual REwind Awards. And it always remains yours, as it should. So explore and enjoy, we wish you every good fortune on your next production.

What is REwind Video Magazine?

Our site is funded in part by a semi-annual program we produce called REwind Video Magazine. (The remainder of our funding comes from members just like you!) REwind is a variety show featuring interviews with amateurs and professionals from the film and video industry, highlights of the various works from our viewers, an ongoing production report from AMDB webmaster John Simpson, as well as special segments dedicated to tips and tricks on making your movies from your global friends in cinema. Advertisement is free for amateur moviemakers with a trailer to show or company ID to brand. Since our first June '99 issue, we've received accolades from around North America and abroad for the program, and recommend you try ordering an issue to see what it's about.
