So here at REwind we've been racking our brains deciding what the future of this site will be. For the last decade we've brought you news and reviews from the low-budget moviemaking front lines, and as the face of the web has changed, so has our role. After a long seclusion high in the Canadian Rockies (or possibly on the beaches of Jamaica) I think I've figured out where REwind is heading, and to demolish any rumors - no, we're not shutting down.

But I am planning one hell of an overhaul. In fact the very method by which the site operates will be quite different, and I hope, an exciting new addition to the world of microcinema. I'd like to thank my partner Wally Fong for all his hard work these last few years while I've been offline, and thank all of you for your patience as our updates became less frequent recently.

Spread the word and stay tuned.. I don't have a relaunch date yet but when I do I'll post it here. REwind's coming back..

Yes friends, rumors of my death were greatly exaggerated. Sure we haven't updated this site in a few months, and sure recent forum posts might suggest major changes in the future for the site, but for now we have a small backlog of movies to review! So my reanimated corpse is pleased to present Matt McUsic's Shamelove, a gritty, violent movie. RavensFilm Productions presents "The Fixer." A feature-length neo noir thriller which centers around licensed private investigator Vic Simmons (Nick Doetsch) who specializes in helping people when no one else can. People in desperate, bad situations without anywhere else to turn to. People call him "The Fixer."

His line of work is complicated and difficult, but it becomes even worse when Katie Bishop (Carmiña Elizabeth) becomes victim to her domineering and posessive ex-boyfriend's violent obsession. Luther Resnick (Jonathan Goodman) is the definition of scum, and has Katie scared to death. Fifteen years ago, Vic once vowed to watch over Katie like a brother after the death of her big sister, but has lately neglected that vow. Now, Vic is left feeling responsible for a bad situation which never should've happened. Though, help comes to him from Vic's stark opposite friends Jack Demerest (CJ Koenig) and X. Franklin (Ryan R. Salzwedel). But conflict comes from the reluctant Detective McManus (Glenn Allen), and Caroline Burnett (Lucy Arenberg), Victor's ex-lover and close friend of Katie's, who drives home the grim reality of Vic's life as it has become. It is obvious that there will be no easy way to fix this problem. Though, even if he can make it all right by Katie, can he ever make it right by himself?

Hey everyone. It has been a while since I've posted, but I wanted to let everyone know that our short film noir, "The Paw," is finally online. The film was directed by Ritchie Steven Filippi and stars Nathaniel Marston (One Life to Live, The Craft), Tony Ray Rossi (Sopranos, Find Me Guilty), Danny Aiello III, and Allyn Bard.

Timberwolf Entertainment, who has been making Microcinema since 2001, recently uploaded two of the five short films from their 2005 compilation DVD release "Detour Into Madness Vol 1." The two shorts are ROADKILL (2004) and SNUFF (2005). Both shorts were directed by Joe Patnaud

Timberwolf Entertainment, which was formed in Rhode Island on the east coast moved west to LA last year to move up to the next level of production. In November 2007 they shot their first California short film "No Trespassing". While still very much Microcinema, this new short also directed by Joe Patnaud has a size and scope much bigger then the shorts they made in New England. Currently they seeking investors to make a larger scale feature.

Timberwolf has taken down their website in order to build a new 'west coast' one, but you can keep up with their work by joining their MYSPACE.

The Comedy Garage is a house party/ comedy show where the hottest comedians in Los Angeles get together to play beer pong, hit the hookah, and perform some mind blowing comedy! This was the last show of 2007, but it was a blast. Check it out and TELL THE WHOLE INTERNET!

Past comics have included writers and performers from Wildin' Out, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Last Comic Standing, and more... We know Christmas is over, but let's give 2007 a great send off!

Tyler Gibb's animated feature film "Minushi" - the flagship production in the Do-It-Yourself Revolution is being released this week as a double DVD set in partnership with Amazon.com's CreateSpace.

Heather Dixon and Joseph Trione have been making short films together for the past two years. Their most well known films are "Bullets & Mascara" and "Blood on the Glass Slipper."
